Pat White is one of the most in demand and versatile musicians working on the London scene today. Highly regarded as both a lead trumpet player and jazz soloist, his work includes big band, jazz, orchestral and West End theatre, as well as being a busy session musician for film and television.
He is a regular member of the BBC Big Band, Guy Barker Jazz Orchestra and "The Book of Mormon" orchestra in London's West End. He has also worked with many other artists at the forefront of British and International Jazz including Randy Brecker, Conte Candoli, Bob Florence, Charlie Haden, Peter Erskine, Kenny Wheeler, Tim Garland, WDR Big Band, Stan Tracey Big Band, John Surman Brass Project, John Dankworth Big Band, John Taylor Big Band and the Stan Sulzmann Big Band.
Pat's orchestral experience includes the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, English National Ballet, English Session Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra. He is also a founder member of the highly acclaimed John Wilson Orchestra, with whom he has performed in many successful BBC Proms and UK tours.
Pat studied at the Royal Academy of Music where he gained a First Class Honours degree and was awarded the prestigious Principal's Prize upon graduation. He has since been made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the music profession, and has also been proud to teach trumpet on the RAM Jazz Course.
